7- hydroxymitragynine is a terpenoid indole alkaloid from the plant mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as kratom. in mice, it is orally active and has analgesic effects. 7- hydroxymitragynine is an agonist at the μ- opioid receptor with a potency, calculated using pd ( 2) values, that is 30- fold higher than that of mitragynine and 17- fold higher than that of morphine, respectively. one of the most exciting developments to appear in recent kratom research, the alkaloid 7- hydroxymitragynine may hold the key to some of the herbal remedy’ s most powerful effects. previously unknown before 1994, this naturally occurring compound may soon replace mitragynine as the star alkaloid of kratom. herbal cap. it is our opinion that such high relative concentrations of 7- oh compared to mitragynine would be impossible to achieve in the circulation through direct absorption of the minimal quantities of 7- oh found in kratom leaf preparations and commercial extracts, where the mitragynine/ 7- oh ratio is typically greater than 50: 1. for example, concentrations of mitragynine and 7- hydroxymitragynine in raw m. speciosa leaves range between 23. 0 μg/ mg and 114– 134 ng/ mg, respectively" this calculates out to about 24mg of mitragynine per gram of leaf and 0. 12mg of 7- oh per gram of leaf. unlike mitragynine, only very small amounts of this alkaloid are needed to lessen even the worst pain.
similar to mitragynine, 7- hydroxymitragynine effects much of the same same receptor sites, but is much more potent by weight than mitragynine, and also has little to no directly stimulating effects. cbdistillery 1000 mg. at the same time, other groups independently described the formation of 7- oh as a metabolite of mitragynine in vitro and in vivo. however, pharmacokinetic studies will be required to elucidate the importance of 7- oh as a mitragynine metabolite in man, where the interspecies differences in the metabolic processes must be carefully considered. 7- hydroxy- mitragynine is 7 oh mitragynine a potent partial opioid agonist ( could be a full agonist but i believe i read something about it acting on the mu- opioid receptors specifically). buy high grade hemp oil. though content by weight in kratom is quite low compared to other alkaloids, it is currently believed to be one of the most active. unless otherwise noted, the contents of the fda website ( www. gov), both text and graphics, are not copyrighted. they are in the public domain and may be republished, reprinted and otherwise used freely by anyone without the need to obtain permission from fda. probably no more addictive than the oxycodone i am taking now for my chronic pain. this plant is very good at helping reduce my pain, it is just taking all those caps that is a discomfort.
i sampled a bit of my alcohol extract, but it wasn' t the same. i thought perhaps i had not extracted the 7- hydroxymitragynine.
